1st. Artisticulous Anonymouso - for making it a very interesting and compelling story; not generally known for doing digital art, he really made this one stand out and putting the characters in a situation that sets up so many ideas with the characters involved. Artisticulous stands out among the entries for telling a story with a comedic premise but doesn't walk on familiar territory and as noted, Artisticulous trying something new is enough for me to give this one the top prize. With it's fun cast and silly story, I look forward to seeing Artisticulous (and the same goes for everyone else who participated) return to these characters!

2nd. SolarTomato/Chris Cringle (tied) - Solar throws their hat into the ring while being a resident newcomer to the server, with a well-done entry that surprises me with their unique style and showing off how wonderful the community can be when allowed to present fresh, original ideas; tied with Solar is Chris Cringle with a very impressive well-written story that comes with it's own illustration to boot! Chris's expertise in telling a tale that not only the community can resonate with for the contest's subject matter but provides an entertaining tale that we can all enjoy from an outside perspective.

3rd. Cy-Real - Cy takes us to a fun take on comedic TPT humor that reminds me of classic Looney Tunes; two characters plan to get back at a fox but are ultimately left with fates unknown. like Artisticulous's the characters are put into a silly situation as TPT was meant to be when first coined, and gives us a sense of "Oh no" left wondering where things are going to happen next. Like with Chris's story it dips it's toes into the familiar gag that the trope once began and one that some of us in the community will really appraciate.

Honorable Mentions from Other Fantastic Artists:

The-B-Meister - a surprise entry to help bolster some of the entires, B's no stranger to the TPT subject matter but also happened to be a unique wild card to help encourage more entries onto the list. Utilizing characters you don't normally see in scenarios like this but harkening back to the days of 'Who would you like to see?' B-Meister brings two popular characters into the fold and a funny idea that Lilo & Stitch fans will definitely get a smile from

Chromus111 - one of the most hyped up entries and one that had people talking for awhile about, Chromus brings an amazingly thorough and long piece that tickles the judge's funny bones and knows what several of the community likes. Revisiting a classic is never a bad thing and Chromus worked very hard to deliver on something that many of us will come back to on a frequent basis. Like Artisticulous, Chromus has expanded upon (no pun intended given the entry!) from digital art to traditional and thus received an amazing honorable mention for going all the way.

Final Draft - one of the most talented friends I've ever known brings the TPT concept over to the 3D scene, and is known for some top-tier animations to boot. Despite the limiations of GMod and trying to adapt, Final Draft doesn't disappoint and brings us the Zootopia icons in a very familiar position that makes us want to know how it'll play out, or how we got there! There'll never be enough Nick and Judy and these two are definitely worth a TPT story in their own right, and Final Draft's simplicity but core idea is there and worth mentioning. Keep up the good work!

Penmark - with an a wonderfully wide body of work on deviantArt and FurAffinity, Penmark joins the competition with a fun and simple piece that really made us smile. Here he is able to revisit the TPT concept while staying true to the theme and not looking to overdue or overstep anything else; sometimes less is more! Penmark is truly someone I would recommend working with and following their galleries to see all the cool stuff they've done outside of this entry and once again they've delivered a solid entry. <3

KigToons - combining his favorite costume concept with the TPT trope, Kig's take and submission is one that is to be admired for bringing something new to the table! A lot of us and the entries all shared their forms of coats, robes, dresses to name a few, but KigToons reminds us that not everything has to be the same. Kig went the extra mile for their submission by thinking outside of the box and brings a refreshing breath of fresh air to the TPT community and giving us something new to enjoy and being a standout member in the contest!

Beginning as early as June if not sooner, I announced a contest based on the "totem pole trenchcoat" trope in cartoons, comics, manga and other media! Most of you know me through the art I've done with that subject matter.

As we close the chapter in August I'm happy to announce that the contest has been extended for September 8th, 2023.

The prizes are as follows!

3rd Place: A shout-out on a video, and featuring their artwork on the TPT channel.

2nd Place: Shout-out, featured, and a free sketch of your choosing with flat-colors.

1st Place: $50 USD!
